Sara M\u00f6ller<\/strong> (born 1982 in V\u00e4xj\u00f6) currently resides in Gothenburg. She holds a master\u2019s degree in ceramic art from HDK-Valand in Gothenburg, which she obtained in 2009. M\u00f6ller has held several solo exhibitions, including recent ones at Berg Gallery, Norrt\u00e4lje Konsthall, and Vandalorum. She has been the recipient of numerous grants, including the Artist Grant from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee for ten years (2022) and the prestigious Beckers Art Grant (2013). Throughout her career, M\u00f6ller has had the opportunity to participate in several extended residencies, such as a two-month stay at the Cit\u00e9 Internationale des Arts in Paris (2022). During the pandemic year (2020-2021), she was in Berlin on a working residency through The W\u00f6hr\/Reinheimer Stiftung f\u00fcr bilden-de Kunst. Her work is part of several public collections, including the Swedish Public Art Agency, Stockholm Municipality, Vetlanda Museum, and H\u00f6gan\u00e4s Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sara M\u00f6ller\u2019s work is primarily sculptural, often ceramic. She always strives to challenge and exceed the boundaries of the ceramic field, to comply with and expose both the shortcomings and the benefits of the medium. She wants to create meetings of love, crashes and clashes, simultaneously radiating both vibrant sensualism and dystopian chaos. Like a children\u2019s game, her forms and shapes aren\u2019t easily tamed or captured. They twist and turn as if trying to avoid the stiff, expected pose. The finished works can therefore be viewed as byproducts or stills from a rhythmic play.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
